ALPHA Tungsten Carbide (WC) High temp Nozzle

ALPHA Performance. More Accessible.

The ALPHA WC brings the same performance-focused design philosophy behind our flagship ALPHA PCD nozzle to a more affordable platform.

At its core is a precision tungsten carbide insert engineered for excellent wear resistance, strong thermal performance, and demanding everyday printing.

From PLA and PETG to carbon fiber, glass fiber, glow-in-the-dark, and other abrasive materials, ALPHA WC is designed to be the nozzle you can install and leave in your printer.

One nozzle. From PLA to carbon fiber.

Built for Abrasive Filaments

1,600 HV Hardness

Tungsten carbide is extremely wear resistant, making it an ideal material for filaments that can quickly destroy conventional brass nozzles.

With a hardness of approximately 1,600 HV, ALPHA WC is built to handle carbon fiber, glass fiber, glow-in-the-dark, wood-filled, and other abrasive materials without the rapid wear associated with standard nozzles.

Print abrasive materials with confidence without constantly worrying about nozzle wear or changing nozzle diameter over time.

Excellent Thermal Performance

100 W/m·K Thermal Conductivity

Durability shouldn't come at the expense of print performance.

The tungsten carbide insert in ALPHA WC offers approximately 100 W/m·K thermal conductivity, providing significantly better heat transfer than traditional hardened steel nozzles.

That improved thermal performance helps transfer heat efficiently into the filament for consistent extrusion, dependable flow, and strong performance across a wide range of materials.

Made to Stay Installed

The idea behind ALPHA WC is simple:

Install it once and print almost anything.

Instead of keeping a brass nozzle for everyday materials and swapping to a wear-resistant nozzle whenever you print something abrasive, ALPHA WC gives you the durability and thermal performance needed to handle both.

Less swapping.
Less wear.
Less compromise.

The Performance Sweet Spot

ALPHA WC was designed for users who want serious abrasion resistance and strong thermal performance without stepping all the way up to polycrystalline diamond.

With 1,600 HV hardness and 100 W/m·K thermal conductivity, tungsten carbide delivers an excellent balance of durability, heat transfer, and value.

For everyday printing, abrasive materials, engineering filaments, and production use, ALPHA WC hits the sweet spot.

ALPHA WC vs. ALPHA PCD

Both ALPHA nozzles are built around the same idea: one premium nozzle capable of handling nearly anything you throw at your printer.

ALPHA WC ALPHA PCD
Insert Material Tungsten Carbide Polycrystalline Diamond
Hardness 1,600 HV 5,000 HV
Thermal Conductivity 100 W/m·K 500 W/m·K
Abrasive Material Performance Excellent Extreme
Best For Performance + Value Maximum Performance

ALPHA WC is the performance-value option, delivering excellent wear resistance and strong thermal performance at a more accessible price.

ALPHA PCD remains the ultimate ALPHA nozzle, offering substantially greater hardness and thermal conductivity for users who want maximum performance with virtually no compromise.
